Metal Smith, PMC, Fused Glass, Metal Etching, Ceramics, Studio & Kiln Space Rental, Supplies, Lessons and Fun!
Charisma Designs was established in 1998 as a result of a lack of jewelry pieces available for women with short hair. Because the back of our necks show, my first piece was designed with a unique clasp-and-dangle to be seen from behind. Soon I began soldering special chain lengths. Then on to sheet metal.
In 2004 I found PMC…Oh, what trouble I was in! I knew things were going to get interesting!! From there, my business has grown (along with my hair) and flourished into a full blown studio…Teaching and continually learning, I am all about uniqueness – in what I do and what I achieve from my students.
Client Comments:
MKG/ St. Louis says: She designs in her usual inimitable style
JHG/ North Carolina states: Wild about you, baby! Wouldn’t wear anybody else!
LL/ Houston comments: Cathy pays close attention to detail. That is why I chose to learn there.
JSR/ Houston says: I looked all over the internet for a reputable jewelry class in Houston; someone who was fun but had high standards in technique as well as education. Because Cathy is always learning and continually educates herself, the level of instruction is way above standard and yet a blast!

CATHY'S TIP OF THE MONTH!
Lubricate often: Use a lubricant to keep your drill bits cool and sharp. Almost anything can be used: motor oil, soap, kerosene, oil of wintergreen, machne oil, and even saliva. Newer lubricants, such as BurLife last longer than traditional lubricants because they do not evaporate.
